Dr Baylissa Frederick

Therapist, author, clinical supervisor, and coach

Creator of the MASA® Program

Dr Baylissa Frederick has spent more than two decades supporting individuals and families affected by prescribed drug injury and withdrawal.

Her work is grounded in compassion, lived experience, clinical understanding, and many years of supporting individuals, families and professionals through some of the most difficult stages of healing.

Baylissa is the author of Recovery and Renewal, With Hope in My Heart and Dearest Friend. She has supported thousands of people internationally through one-to-one sessions, group programs, written resources, guided meditations, and her online healing community at www.baylissa.com.

She created the MASA® Program as a gentle, practical framework to help people navigate the emotional and psychological challenges of the healing process with greater steadiness, self-kindness, and hope.

MASA® reflects the heart of Baylissa’s work: helping people feel less alone, more supported, and more confident in their capacity to cope, heal, and move forward.

A Gentle and Compassionate Approach

Baylissa’s approach is calm, practical, and deeply compassionate. She understands that healing from prescribed drug injury can be frightening, isolating, and difficult to explain to others.

Through MASA®, she offers guidance that does not minimise suffering or force positivity. Instead, the program gently supports participants in developing tools that can help them live as well as possible while healing continues and after.
