Mindfulness, Acceptance, Self-Kindness, and Appropriate Action for healing, growth, renewed confidence, and autonomy

The MASA® Program is a trauma-informed, structured, self-paced course created by Dr Baylissa Frederick to support you as you navigate healing from prescribed drug injury and other chronic conditions.

It offers a compassionate framework for meeting the challenges of the healing process.

Welcome to MASA®

Healing from chronic conditions including prescribed drug injury can be one of the most difficult and misunderstood experiences a person can face. Symptoms may feel intense, progress may seem slow, and it can be hard to remain hopeful when the journey feels long. MASA® offers a trauma-informed, calm and structured way to support yourself during this process.

MASA®

Mindfulness
Learning to notice your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and reactions with greater awareness.

Acceptance
Making space for what is present, without fighting, forcing, or judging your experience.

Self-Kindness
Developing a more compassionate and supportive relationship with yourself as you heal.

Action
Being pro-active and taking appropriate, realistic steps that support coping, resilience, confidence, and daily life.

Together, these four healing essentials can help you to respond more gently to what you are experiencing and to continue taking small, steady steps through the healing process.

What Attendees Say

“The MASA course was an excellent and gentle introduction to becoming more mindful of how we react to our own experiences. It helped me build a much more loving relationship with myself while healing from a prescribed drug injury. Baylissa is a wonderful teacher and made me feel safe, comfortable and at ease throughout the course.”

– Verity

“The MASA program has been more than helpful in giving me a better understanding of how to support myself during the healing process. The concepts and tools shared are simple and easy to use, yet incredibly powerful.”

– Kate

“Learning how to defuse and use the healing and observing selves has been a game changer for me. I learned a lot, but the second arrow concept impacted me more than I thought possible.”

– Ethan
